This might seem like a really weird question, but have you ever lived in Ontario?

I think your Favorite Animals list says something about you...that's a real mix of animal types!

Kat said...

madge- Never!

moxy- it really does! I was thinking the same thing when I wrote it. I promise I'll post an explanation. So when are we having drinks?

Cornelius T. Fish said...

what is the connection with Islay....besides the scotch.

Kat said...

fish- Not much. But my grandmother's family came from Scotland and my grandfather's family was Irish. On the other side, all of my relatives are in England with exception to my immediate family. I've just always wanted to go to check out my heritage....and have some scotch!

...I wanna meet for drinks too! mmmmm.... scotch.
Johnny Walker Green Label please.

Ah Kat...you warm my heart with the Lagavulin link. Very nice.

I like Jennifer's idea of the Johnny Green too! Both great bottles!

Minneapolis on vacation? It's a nice place and all, but you need to get out more!

:-)

Heya!

Interesting... has everyone in the world been a bartender at one point? :)

And what was Paignton like?!?

I'm with you re the single malts on Islay, that's for sure... matter of fact, I'm drinking a 10 year old Ardbeg as I type this! :)

Paddy's day at McVeighs....lots o' drinks!

Kat said...

jenn- Johnny Green eh? You must really be outa debt!

earl- it'll warm more than your heart! ;o)

buggy- I really do...but that was a long time ago. I was 12 and we were at the Junior World Cup for soccer. Good to see you back :o)

cheezy- I think so. I loved bartending. Paignton is amazing! It's like San Fransisco as a Riviera. Still can't get over the fact that there are palm trees there. And I only wish I was drinking scotch. Instead, it's a local cab shiraz that was on sale for $10 a bottle.

moxy- I'll do my best! Need to find a baby sitter :o)

That's daddy's buck that buys the bottle. I just get to steal a shot now and then. However, he's been into the Irish Wiskey lately and I just don't have a taste for the Rye.

I'm stealing this later

Carl Spackler said...

is that a picture of a cat shooting a gun?

Right, I'm stealing this.

And you lassie Jennifer......Irish Whiskey is not Rye, Canadian Whiskey is Rye. I'm a chronic alcoholic so I know.

I have never heard Paignton described as amazing before. In fact, the only words I have ever heard to describe it were 'it's a dump'.

I lived in Torquay for a while, and in Exeter, and have friends in Paignton, born and bred in the area. They seem to like it. Went on the lash there once too, it was terrifying.

Moxy - Count us in! Green beer and celebrations of Irish heritage -- hooray!!

"here's JOHNNY!"

There is something about imagining the combination of your four favorite foods thata grosses me out.

Kat said...

jenn- As with tequila, there are some really excellent irish whiskeys out there. Or maybe it's just a required taste. Dunno.

liz- stealer

carl- I'm sensing some sarcasm here.

angus- angus, I had no idea you could be so refined!

badger- really?? I just though it was so interesting. And I love the cobblestone and palm trees...in England! I just really had no idea till I got there.

liz- mmmmmmmmmmm beeeeeeeeeeeer.

jiggs- a little like barf. bad bad barf.
